Высокоэффективный код сжатия факсимильных изображений, используемый в факс-модемах группы 3.
Сокращение избыточности достигается за счет кодирования неравномерным кодом длинных серий точек белых и черных полей в одной точке: длина для белых полей отбирается существенно меньше, чем для черных, каждая строка имеет длину 1728 точек и завершается IP-символьным кодом EOL
